Hello
all! Thursday we visited the lake coast ton of Djemene along Lake Valta. There were thousands of people there who had arrived by boat. The boats are about 50 feet long and five feet wide powered by motors. It was quite a sight . Friday we visited the school at Kpando. There were 523 kids who all received a gift . It was chaos. Remind me never to do that again. The school is progressing. We found out today it will take about $35,000 to finish--equipment and everything.
Saturday back to Kpando to visit Fhu, Todzi, New Adomi, and Vakpo. The church projects are coming along fine. We gave them their funds and they we all elated.
Sunday back to Kpando for worship. We had lunch and returned home. That evening after dinner we had "light" refreshments at Judy's house, more then we had for supper.
All are well. Daddy and Mom are fine. Dad is staying back when he does not feel like traveling. You could not hold mother back if you wanted to!
Tomorrow we go to the Hospital in Worawora, an all day trip. You may not hear from me until I get home. Please keep praying for our safe travel. Love
you all, Pat <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> |
Hello from Ghana,
We arrived in Ho at 11:30 PM. Our travel was uneventful and without delay. Mom and Dad
are doing fine. They are rest now. I got them the "honeymoon suite" at-the EP Center. They have a big bed
room, living room with table, frig TV. They were very happy with it. It is very hot here, hotter then I remember.
Perhaps leaving Philadelphia with a 0 degree temp can make hot feel hotter. We are resting today. We will
go to church in the morning and perhaps visit the chiefs tomorrow afternoon. All of our friends say hello
especially, as Ghanaians say, to "know ones" ( Judy Reitz, Tom is okay and misses you very much.)
WE WILL KEEP IN TOUCH.
Love you all,
PAT
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> It is MONDAY IN Ghana AND ALL IS WELL. Yesterday we were at church. Mill Creek sent little toys for us to give as gifts. We gave gifts to all the children, there must have been over 400. It was indeed as sight to see.
THE PEOPLE really appreciated it. We also gave them funds to continue the work on the Chapel. Again, the
congregation was elated. Today, after emails and banking we are going to see Dora Memorial School and visit
the Dzobas. Then we are going to visit Ben's new house. Everybody is doing great. Mom and Dad enjoy their
room. We played golf last night. Norman won, i suspect he is cheating, I will watch closer tonight. (Just a little
Ghanaian humor)
Hope all is well,
Christ peace. Pat
