Mercy Community Crisis Pregnancy Center

Mercy Community Crisis Pregnancy Center: MCCPC opened its doors in 1990, begun by Greater Reading Christians to offer practical alternatives to abortion to women and men facing an unplanned pregnancy. They have an average of 40-50 clients per week. Mercy does NOT receive government funds, does not bill insurance companies and is not a United Way agency. All services are offered free of charge. They are funded by churches, individuals, businesses and fundraising events.

The staff starts each day with prayer. They offer biblically-based peer counseling, parenting classes, life skills instruction, and supplies. They feel the most important aspect of Mercy is the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their clients, most of whom have never heard it before.

St. Paul's supports this important ministry by collecting donations of baby clothes and supplies, participating in their Spring Dinner and Fall 5K Fundraisers.
